While 2020 wasn’t the year anyone expected, that doesn’t mean we’re not grateful for the incredible journey, and growing the IOLLA community along the way. So here’s a look back at some of our year highlights.
Orbis Awareness Month
In January we continued to celebrate and support the work of Orbis UK by sharing the story of the REACH programme, a project which reduced visual impairment among children in Nepal and increased the quality eye care which is available there.
We expanded the collection..and expanded it some more!
When it comes to your Eyewear Wardrobe, who better to take inspiration from for our new models than the IOLLA community! We listened to your feedback and introduced some new favourites to the collection.
Giving you the same IOLLA experience, from new places
Like many, we adapted to our ‘new normal’ by working from home, temporarily closing our showroom doors, and entering the world of video calls. Some of us were lucky enough to meet some new K9 colleagues.
Virtual Try On
Virtual Try On was born, meaning you can now find the perfect pair from the comfort of your couch. Try it out here
Visiting our Showrooms
We introduced our new booking system, making it easier for you to visit us at a convenient time for you. Check out our reviews and read about our customers' experience in our showrooms. With everyone adjusting to the new challenge of wearing a mask, our showroom team gave some top tips to stop your glasses from steaming up, making sure that it becomes your second favourite accessory. We were pretty grateful too!
We turned 5!
It might have been our birthday, but why should we get all the presents? You helped us celebrate this incredible milestone with 5 weeks of IOLLA giveaways!
The IOLLA Community got creative..virtually!
At a time where the world was sharing positivity through impressive TikTok challenges, Reels and fitness videos, the IOLLA community was no different. You showed off your eyewear in creative ways, continuing to Snap & Share and #SeeWithIOLLA.
The Festive Gift Shop
We collaborated with local businesses across Glasgow and Edinburgh to create a gift for everyone on your list. From the Book Lover to the Coffee Connoisseur, our Festive Gift Boxes included treats from local favourites as well as our Festive Cloth designed by local artist Katie Smith.
Christmas Nights In
Like many, our Festive Party went virtual this year, but we made sure to include as much sparkle as usual! We came together to celebrate our hard work this year and to look forward to a New Year!
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement this year, we look forward to seeing you in 2021. Happy New Year!
