Everything we offer means nothing if it comes at an unnecessary cost to the planet. So, while we build what we believe is the better way to buy eyewear, we're equally as determined to do it responsibly.

We're on a journey to keep our footprint minimal: biodegradable and recycled acetates, paper-free processes, in-store recycling, lens refills, and a Refresh service to keep glasses in use and out of landfill.

The material

What makes it eco acetate

Acetate is what gives a frame its depth, warmth and feel. Eco acetate keeps all of that and changes what it's made from, so the frame on your face costs the planet less.

Bio-based

Pressed from acetate made with renewable plant sources in place of crude oil, so the material starts cleaner before it's ever cut.

70% recycled black

Every black eco acetate frame is cut from 70% recycled material, reusing off-cuts from the manufacturing floor that would otherwise be waste.

Biodegradable

At the end of a long life the material breaks down far faster than the conventional plastics used in most frames.

How Refresh works

New prescription or tired lenses? Refresh your existing IOLLA frame instead of replacing it: reglazed, cleaned and tightened, ready to go again.
